چکیده

The turbine shared support structure is used widely in aeroengines, but theoretical and experimental research on a rotor-bearing system containing lacking. This paper reports into the coupling vibration response of squeeze-film-damper that has two spools with different rotation speeds supported by structure. problem addressed means tests finite-element method. Based features turboshaft engine structure, test squeeze film damper designed, model built based Timoshenko beam elements. simulation results indicate unbalanced may involve either sum or difference fundamental frequencies rotors gas generator power turbine. simulations show unbalance rotor, radial bending stiffnesses clearances dampers at all affect response. amplitude can be suppressed effectively (i) selecting reasonable parameter values for (ii) exerting strict control over spool unbalance.

Dynamic Analysis of a Rotor Supported on Ball Bearings with Waviness and Centralizing Springs and Squeeze Film Dampers

Squeeze film dampers (SFDs) are often used in machines with high rotational speed to reduce non-periodic behavior by creating external damping. There are some structural parameters which are of great importance in designing these systems, such as oil film thickness and inner race mass of SFD. Moreover, there is a crucial parameter associated with manufacturing process, under the title of wavine...

Analysis of Vibration Characteristics of PD Control Active Magnetic Bearing and Cracked Rotor System (RESEARCH NOTE)

Crack fault of rotor is one of the most prominent problems faced by magnetic bearing rotor system. In order to improve the safety performance of this kind of machinery, it is necessary to research the vibration characteristics of magnetic bearing cracked rotor system. In this paper, the stiffness model of the crack shaft element was established by the strain energy release rate (SERR) theory. T...

Nonlinear Vibration Analysis for a Jeffcott Rotor with Seal and Air-Film Bearing Excitations

The nonlinear coupling vibration and bifurcation of a high-speed centrifugal compressor with a labyrinth seal and two air-film journal bearings are presented in this paper. The rotary shaft and disk are modeled as a rigid Jeffcott rotor. Muszynska’s model is used to express the seal force with multiple parameters. For air-film journal bearings, the model proposed by Zhang et al. is adopted to e...

Dynamic Analysis of Multi Mass Counter Rotor System with Integral S-shaped Squeeze Film Damper

In order to reduce the mass, the new designs of turbojet engines use rotors working with higher speeds. These rotors are subjected to large unbalance during engine operational conditions. An additional damping might be necessary in order to enable working at rotation speeds higher than the critical ones. In order to achieve this objective, Integral S-shaped Squeeze Film Damper (ISSFD) and Multi...

A magnetorheological fluid damper for robust vibration control of flexible rotor-bearing systems: A comparison between sliding mode and fuzzy approaches

Squeeze Film Dampers (SFD) are commonly used for passive vibration control of rotor-bearing systems. The Magnetorheological (MR) and Electrorheological (ER) fluids in SFDs give a varying damping characteristic to the bearing that can provide active control schemes for the rotor-bearing system. A common way to model an MR bearing is implementing the Bingham plastic model. Adding this model to th...
